Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care as an ER Registered Nurse during emergencies.
Perform rapid triage to prioritize patients by acuity and need.
Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in EHR.
Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.
Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards in all actions.
Collaborate with physicians and allied health teams to develop care plans.
Maintain situational awareness of patient status to ensure timely interventions.
Engage in continuous learning to stay current with evidence-based ER practices.
Meet defined performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based success metrics.
Document and communicate patient progress to the on-site team during shift handoffs.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
Participate in on-site drills and quality improvement initiatives.
Experience/Qualifications
Valid RN license in the applicable state or region.
Active ACLS certification and PALS as applicable for ER settings.
Minimum 2 years ER or acute care nursing experience.
Strong triage skills with ability to prioritize acuity quickly.
Infection control adherence and universal precautions.
Proficiency with EHR documentation and incident reporting.
Medication administration and monitoring per ER protocols.
Ability to collaborate with physicians, techs, and allied health staff.
Excellent communication for shift handoffs and patient progress updates.
Willingness to participate in drills, QA initiatives, and continuous learning.
